Hello Fellow DMSB Rotarians,

Thank you for a great and amazing day!!!  From my perspective, everything went as smoothly as possible.  Everyone went the extra mile to make this so successful. A few numbers and then on to the acknowledgements.  There were 110 teams.  Over 300 people showed up - players, guests and volunteers.  Unofficially, we grossed over $76,000!!!  A huge thank you to everyone!!

Our co-chairs: Vicky Mallet and Susan Hennenfent, thank you so much for bringing this one home.

Our ops manager: Jon Fish - thank you for making organizing this and making it a great weekend.

Our registration coordinator: Julie Lien - thank you for all your efforts to get the folks signed up and their shirts to the players.

Our auction chairs: Sharon Fogg and Ellen Griffin - that was big time great!!!

Our bracket board ops - Mark Hennenfent, Kevin Cahill and Nick who kept the day running timely and got the tournament done by 3:45.

Our VIP set up: Mary Butler: for the beautiful set up of the tents for our VIPs.

For the Camp Pendelton color guard: Linda Sundram.

For the 11-year old singer, Vanessa Barrelet - Malcolm Koll.

For the man who slaved over a hot mic all day long - Bill Murphy.

To our referees who call clean games all day - Malcolm Koll, Ken Barrett, Paul Butler, Lou Oberman, Greg Einhorn and John Benton.  To our photographers - Chalres Foster and Melissa Hakan.

To our honoree, Mr. Bocce - Tom Slipper.  To the terrific kids from Just In Time, Reality Changers and Interact Club of CCA who helped set up and clean up.  To everyone for being great ambassadors for the club.

Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you!

On another note, a front page article in today's San Diego Union Tribune features Dr. Brian Keating and his telescope from the south pole.  Brian was our speaker on January 3.  My take on his breakthrough discovery of more particles from the big bang, is that Brian is in line for a Nobel prize.  We heard it first and will follow this story.

Again, thank you everyone.
