The Union Tribune recently ran a story on the wonderful work being done in India by the non-profit organization A VIEW (A Village of Independent and Enterprising Women), which is supported by the Rotary Club of Del Mar-Solana Beach. Dr. Suchandra Brahma, a founding member of the non-profit and a Rotarian, started the organization with the goal to aid women in India who are experiencing mental illness. With two grants beginning in 2020, the Rotary Club of Del Mar-Solana Beach has helped the non-profit hire social workers, purchase food and medicine and create programs to teach new skills.
